- Brown paper
- Scissors/paper cutter
- Glue
- Tape
- Treats for envelopes
Step 1
Print the advent calendar printables. Cut them out into circles or rectangles.
TIP: Buy sticker paper and you can easily print them and stick them right on your envelopes.
Cut a piece of brown paper (I use packaging saved from shipped boxes). You can make any size you want. I made mine 9" x 10".
Fold the outside edges to the center. Fold up the bottom about 1". Glue or tape the bottom and the center.
Step 4
Decide what you want to put inside each envelope. Some ideas include candy, small toys, or even handwritten notes. Once you've decided what to put inside, fill each envelope accordingly.
Step 5
Adhere the stickers onto the front of each brown paper envelope. You can place the sticker over the folded edge or you can place it on the front and use tape to close the top of the bag. You're now ready to display your beautiful advent calendar for all to see—and count down the days until Christmas!
There's nothing quite like a homemade advent calendar to get you into the holiday spirit. With a little bit of time and effort, you can create a beautiful and unique advent calendar that will be cherished for years to come. Your loved ones will be sure to appreciate your efforts once December rolls around.
